So, What is SuccessQuest?
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been talking to a lot of family and friends about this exciting project that I’m working on. I've received a lot of the same questions, and I'd like to have an official place to send everyone. So, yes, this post is a little bit selfish, but I hope that it also gives you some clarity into our mission and what we’re trying to accomplish here at SuccessQuest.

The SuccessQuest Story
Kalob Valle and I (Jacob Harmon) are the co-founders of SuccessQuest. We first met at a college dorm party. My roommates and I were great friends with an apartment of girls, and Kalob was a good friend with one of the girls. We had a lot of fun that evening and stayed up really late :). We ran into each other a few times after that and became friends on facebook.
Years passed, and our short-lived friendship became an echo of the past. To be honest, I wasn’t even sure what Kalob was up to anymore. One fortunate day, while endlessly scrolling through Facebook, I saw this:
I was immediately interested. For the last 3 or so years, I had been running a web design company, and it had actually gotten me through college debt free (what a blessing!). I was always interested in business and just had to know what Kalob was up to. I met up with Kalob and talked with him over lunch. We immediately hit it off. We talked about life, our families, our businesses and our goals and aspirations. I left that meeting feeling inspired and excited about building my business.
Kalob organized a small group gathering of entrepreneurs. We met a few times, and each time we felt the excitement and passion that come from making something meaningful. While we weren’t working on SuccessQuest at this point, there was definitely a rush of excitement as we helped each other with our businesses.
Then it happened! Kalob shared his vision of SuccessQuest with us. While SuccessQuest has evolved a lot since its inception, the basic idea was to create a community of entrepreneurs and other success seekers. Kalob had attended a conference and felt the rush and excitement of having learned something new. That quickly wore off though as he got back to his every-day life. We decided that we wanted to create something where people could get continuous motivation and inspiration.
Today, that dream is becoming a reality. We’ve started a blog and podcast, and we’re working on bringing many more resources to inspire and motivate.
Why SuccessQuest?
One of the most important questions that anyone should ever ask is why. Knowing why gives purpose to everything we do. If we know our why, then it will be a lot easier to execute and make our goals a reality. So the question isn’t so much what is SuccessQuest, but why is SuccessQuest. The answer is simple. We want to make an impact in the world. We want to help people become better and reach their goals. If we can influence even one person to become better, we will consider ourselves successful :).
Why Success?
We decided to focus our efforts on helping others achieve success. The topic of success is sufficiently broad that we can talk about and address many different subtopics, but it is also sufficiently narrow as to apply to a specific type of person: those who want to achieve something in their lives.
Why Quest?
We wanted to brand our company clearly. Kalob and I aren’t your stereotypical “successful people.” Neither of us are millionaires, heck! Neither of us even own a house. We’re both in our mid-twenties for crying out loud! What makes us qualified? We are both passionate about becoming successful, and best of all, we are on the quest with you. We are incredibly excited about this venture because not only will we be helping you find success, but we will be learning right along with you.
